Apex Lookout provides excellent views over the township of Dungog, looking east towards Cooreei (a high hill overlooking the town) and also views to the north towards Barrington Tops.
There is a table and benches available to sit and enjoy the views of the countryside and the township.
Adjacent to the Lookout is Dungog Hospital, which provides medical and sub-acute care, allied health services and community health nursing services. Lara Aged Care and the offices of Dungog and District Neighbour Care are also nearby.
